Newb rarity question..

So, I know that some pokemon are rarer than others, only found in certain places, etc, and I'm assuming this affects how highly each pokemon trades.
So, rather than which pokemon are rarest, I'm wondering if I could have some advice on which pokemon trade high/low/middle? I did search for a trading guide, but had no luck.
