Why don't we put curse pokemons nad new maps

That sounds too much like TPMRPG. I myself don't like the buying/selling. It's like the Pokemon black market.

But, ehm, how would curse pokemon work? Would they have some sort of special ability or something?

Yes damage from other pokemon hit them lower than an normal pokemon

So basically, they're stronger than others? Isn't that sort of skewed? It seems to me that having one type of Pokemon that receives less damage than the others is unfair and will wreck the fights. If I have an entire team of "Curse" Pokes, it's going to be very difficult to beat me, correct? Theres' nothing wrong with a challenge, but when the other person doesn't have any "Curse" Pokes, you have the unfair advantage.

Plus "Curse" Pokemon could be exploited for their stronger defense or whatever. Someone could simply trade another user a few of the "Curse" Pokes, and the game is suddenly very easy.

I don't know, that's how it seems to me. :/

how about curse pokemons put pokemon in a nightmare and they cant attack like sleep or poison and the curse pokemons can all be purple and next time we need volcanic pokemon red and orange colored
